About Our School –

Here in the Kent Raible studio, we teach through in-person 5 day workshops, online streamed courses, and mentored online programs. All of our courses and programs are designed for the intermediate to advanced jeweler. If you are solid in your basic bench skills of filing, soldering and sawing, you are ready for our courses!

IN-PERSON FIVE DAY WORKSHOPS
We hold about four of these each year. There are a maximum of six students per class, so you get lots of personal attention. The focus of these are learning Kent’s 18 karat gold granulation technique, as well as advancing your fabrication skills. Students make individual projects during the class. You are in Kent’s very well equipped private workshop in Washington state. This is not a school with not so good tools, you have at your disposal, the master’s tools, and the master’s mind! Kent loves passing on his knowledge and guides you every step of the way.

ONLINE STREAMED COURSES
These courses are designed for a self paced learning style. The lessons are streamed at your convenience.

Architecture of a Ring – Learn to build interest and dimension into your ring designs through advancing and refining your fabrication skills.

Going Tubular – Learn to make and use tubes of many shapes and sizes. These will be used for making delicate, professional hinges, for multiple bezels and more. We will learn the Kent Raible style of thick walled bezel setting techniques, how to make perfect swivels with tubes, and more.

Mastering the Spiral Loop Chain – Kent has been using the viking style chain as a signature part of his work for almost 40 years. You’ll even find some of Kent’s chains in museums, including the Smithsonian. Although you can learn this technique in many places, Kent has advanced and perfected this technique, and teaches all his tips and tricks for making this style of chain beautifully, efficiently, with even loop sizes, offering variations, and more.

The Shepherd’s hook clasp – A companion course to the Spoiral Loop chain course, you will learn how to fabricate this classic clasp and how to best attach it to your chain.

ONLINE MENTORED PROGRAMS

Unveil Your Mastery – In this online mentored course, Kent works with students though his two landmark fabrication and bezel setting courses Going Tubular and Architecture of a Ring. Students who have already taken those courses as self-paced, streamed courses will now have the opportunity to dive deeper and incorporate the techniques learned into their own work with Kent’s assistance. Kent also advances the teachings learned in Going Tubular and Architecture of a Ring. If you have not yet taken the two courses, no problem, just work though the courses with Kent’s assistance. This program runs approximately January through April each year.

Mastermind – This is an annual membership which opens each year in May for new members. Prerequisite: Unveil Your Mastery
