About us

Designs by Dawn offers hands-on jewelry making classes in a cozy, four-bench studio just outside Louisville. Artist and instructor Dawn created the full metalsmithing curriculum and teaches all classes herself. She shares real-world techniques from her own experience making and selling copper jewelry at fine art shows.

Group Classes:

– Intro to Metalsmithing – Learn sawing, shaping, and basic metalwork.

– Fold Forming – Create texture and dimension with folded metal techniques.

– Soldering 1 – Build soldering skills with essential fundamentals.

Private Lessons:

Dawn also offers 1:1 instruction customized to your goals, whether you’re just starting out or refining advanced skills.

Classes run throughout the year, scheduled around Dawn’s fine art shows.
